Thompson Child & Family Focus
Thompson Child and Family Focus is currently in need of individual and group volunteers.
Our current needs include:

Bike Repairs - Thompson seeks people to repair our bicycles for the children living with us. We often have flat tires, broken chains, loose handlebars, etc. Volunteers should visit campus twice a month for a couple of hours each session. Volunteers would need to provide their own tools, preferably metric. Thompson will provide new tires, patches, chains, etc. This opportunity is open to older teens and adults.

Front Desk Relief - Adults are needed to greet visitors, answer telephones and complete simple office projects. Training will be provided. Volunteers are needed for one hour lunch relief shifts and on-call basis on weekdays. Interview and volunteer application required.

Enrichment and Recreation Activities - Individuals and groups are invited to provide enrichment activities for the children, which may include dance or music lessons, arts and crafts, gardening and athletic skill instruction. These opportunities may be one-time or on-going on weekdays or Saturdays.

Facilities Projects for adults and youths. We especially appreciate any volunteers who can contribute materials such as plants and lumber. Projects can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends. We currently need volunteers to mulch our therapeutic course, wash cars, wash windows, clean the pool deck, weed and trim bushes.

Civic groups, companies, and youth groups can help provide for the material and financial needs of the children by sponsoring drives for school supplies, clothing or hygiene items. We are currently collecting tickets to area attractions and outdoor toys for the summer.
